JPF has been very active on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and hyperlocal news content sites like Everyblock and Nextdoor.
We utilize Facebook for daily communication and as a forum and message board. We have several pages. Our Facebook group page is a private page where admission is subject to approval to participate and is more of a forum for daily communication. Our public Facebook page is used for external communication and marketing, as well as sharing events with the larger community. Committees also have private Facebook pages but you must be a committee member to participate.
We use Twitter to get attention of public agencies and officials in an easier fashion than email or phone. In the past, we have used Twitter to wage a campaign to force Metra to clean up the Jefferson Park Metra station. If you’re interested in learning how to use Twitter to support our campaign or just for your own interest, see our handy guide here:
Additionally, we also have a monthly e-newsletter, which you can get access to by subscribing.
