“Illegal Smile” is the winning recipe from the 2018 Jefferson Park Homebrew Contest sponsored by Jefferson Park Forward. The winning entry was a delicious and well executed Pilsner brewed by Tom Mathews. The lovely label was designed by JPF member Heidi Osterhout. JPF Business Member Lake Effect Brewing Co. translated the recipe into a large batch and brewed it in early March. The lovely straw colored brew will have been lagering at a cool 33 degrees for 4 weeks at its unveiling. This is an elegant beer which is simplistic, naked, and broken down into the most basic elements of malt, hops, water, yeast and time.
