DESCRIPTION:Our first meeting was a huge success and showed us that there is demand and need for our work to continue. We gave you the month of December off but are asking you to join us to begin the work of moving Jefferson Park forward. \nOur next meeting will be held on Tuesday\, January 19\, 7 pm at Rep Chi (4425 N. Milwaukee Avenue). \nAt this meeting we anticipate discussion of the following agenda items: \n\nOverview of JPF (who we are) – 5 minutes\nRecap from last meeting (what we heard) – 10 minutes\nEstablishment of Committees (what we’re doing) – 40 minutes\n\nBylaws and Non-Profit Designation (creation of bylaws and non-profit designation)\nCommunications (marketing\, social media\, website management)\nEconomic Development (local development issues/awareness\,  grants and programs)\nGrowing JPF (recruitment\, business and local outreach\, welcome wagon)\nLivability & Attractiveness (Garden Club\, beautification\, local arts)\nSocial & Events (night out\, meeting location\, bar/pub crawl\, family picnics\, etc.)\nFundraising & Service (fundraising\, charity partnerships\, etc.)\n\n\nNew Business – 5 minutes\n\nUpcoming speakers and/or topics\nOther new business\n\n\nAdjourn\n\nSocial event to follow at Windsor Tavern (4530 N. SUMMARY:Holiday Sparkle at the Jefferson Park Transit Center
DESCRIPTION:Our first neighborhood event. We heard loud and clear at our first meeting last week that you wanted to volunteer\, to meet your neighbors\, to be part of a community. This is one way to do that. Join us at the Jefferson Park Terminal for the tree lighting. Volunteers are needed. Any and all are welcome. We’ll be passing out hot cocoa to our neighbors and commuters. \nWe will also be collecting donations and items for the New Horizon Center\, a local non-profit agency that provides education and training for children and adults with developmental disabilities and autism.
