SUMMARY:JPF January Walk
DESCRIPTION:Yes\, you can walk in January.  Since it’s possible it could be chillier\,  this walk will be a little shorter.  While your legs might not get as much of a workout your bladders will.  We’ll be doing a coffee shop tour roughly mirroring the Holiday Trolley route.  We’ll meet up at Weston’s for the first round.  After that we’ll head west towards Austin and make our way south towards Irving Park where we’ll stop at Perkolator.  After that it’s east on Irving to stop at Portage Grounds.  Then it’s on towards Cicero to head up Milwaukee for a stop at Fannie’s.  At that point\, if it’s really nice out\, we could proceed to Finom. SUMMARY:JPF September Walk
DESCRIPTION:For this trip we’ll walk the 606. If you haven’t yet been there it’s highly recommended. Now that the vegetation has filled in it’s gorgeous. We’ll walk down Milwaukee to Pulaski. We’ll then walk on Pulaski a bit to Diversey and then cut over to Avers for a nice tour of Hermosa until we hit the west trail head. We’ll then walk the length of the 606 to Ashland. From there we’ll backtrack west down North Avenue until we hit “downtown” Wicker Park (North/Damen/Milwaukee). At that time it’s open ended how much further we want to walk as we’ll have easy access to 56 bus. There will obviously be many different drinking/dining options.
