SUMMARY:JPF Walk - September 2022
DESCRIPTION:North Park Village Nature Center\n\n\n\nYes\, it’s time for the September Walk. Thanks to the football schedule we’re shifting to a Sunday this month. So for those of you that have previously asked for a Sunday walk\, here’s your chance!! \n\n\n\nThis will be a very nice/somewhat local walk. We’ll be visiting the North Park Village Nature Center. We actually tried this walk a couple springs ago but couldn’t enter the Nature Center because of icy trails. \n\n\n\nAs always\, we start at JPF Business Partner Weston’s Coffee & Tap Co. From Weston’s we’ll walk northeast towards LaBagh Woods where we will pick up the Weber Spur to Bryn Mawr Ave. From there\, it’s a walk up Pulaski to the Nature Center. We’ll circle the entire nature preserve\, hopefully catching a few bird sightings along the way. \n\n\n\nAfter we’re done there we’ll walk up to Peterson where we’ll head west to Alarmist Brewing Co. For those that haven’t been there\, their taproom is gorgeous. After some refreshment we’re right next to the Weber Spur for the walk back home. Total miles will be right around 7. \n\n\n\nPlease note the slightly later time (10:00 AM). Alarmist doesn’t open until noon so it makes no sense to get there before that time. Please note there is no Bear game conflict as they’re on Sunday Night Football. \n\n\n\nPlease join up for a good time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:JPF April Walk
DESCRIPTION:Our April walk will unquestionably be a grand time. This is because we will be walking Grand Avenue. From Weston’s Coffee & Tap Co. we will head straight down Long Ave. to Grand Ave. Once we hit Grand Ave. we will head southeast and keep going. We will walk through Whiskey Point\, Hermosa\, and Humboldt Park. Once we hit Western Ave.\, Grand Ave. loses the slant and we will head straight east through the West Town and River West neighborhoods. Some famous highlights along the way will be Jimmy’s Red Hots as well as the next door neighbor combo of D’Amato’s Bakery and Bari Italian Subs. We will also pass the large Metra Western Avenue rail yard.  \n\n\n\nThe full Long/Grand/Milwaukee loop and is 17 miles. We could do that but we will likely be satisfied finding a place to sit in River West for some refreshment and grab either the 56 Milwaukee bus or CTA Blue Line home. This would result in total walk of 10-11 miles. Please join up for a good time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related
