SUMMARY:JPF February Walk
DESCRIPTION:For February we’ll do a “rerun” of a very enjoyable December 2020 walk. We’ll head down Milwaukee Ave towards Schurz HS. Then we’ll head east to explore the incredible homes of the Old Irving Park and Villa District neighborhoods. After exploring the neighborhoods we’ll stop for refreshment (guessing Eris or OIB) Chicago weather the last week of February can vary greatly. While it could be 20 degrees and snowing\, it could just as easily be 55 degrees and sunny. If it turns we have exceptional weather we can extend the walk a little further into either Avondale or Independence Park. While things are trending in the right direction I would certainly plan on any establishment we visit requiring proof of vax. DESCRIPTION:Yes\, we will have a February walk (last year’s February walk was great). We will walk down Foster Avenue to Pulaski Road and venture into Bohemian National Cemetery to check out the Eastland Memorial (among others). After that we’ll continue north on Pulaski Road and do a quick circle around North Park Village Nature Center before heading home. The trip home depends on COVID-19 conditions. If restrictions continue to ease a stop at Alarmist Brewing & Taproom might be an option. As usual we’ll meet at Weston’s Coffee. DESCRIPTION:Join us on our monthly walks where we explore new neighborhoods or even areas within our own community.  \n\n\n\nFor our October walk we’re going to take a leisurely stroll down Forest Preserve Drive to Hiawatha Park. Now\, we realize that people might say “that doesn’t sound too exciting” but the walk will serve a dual purpose. While one might think of Hiawatha Park as just another park\, it also happens to serve as an early polling place. Feel free to early vote while you’re there.  \n\n\n\nAs usual\, we’ll meet at Weston’s at 10AM.
